Landon's Birthday Party

I just had to share some of the pictures from Landon's 1st birthday party- of course it was Mickey Mouse themed! He loves Mickey Mouse!! I pretty much made everything you see. I found so many ideas on My Pintrest !! Which by the way I am obsessed with!

I did buy the cake pops, and they were amazing!!! My friend from high school sells them on the side and she is incredible! I totally recommend her, check her out at Great Balls of Flour

I made these cupcakes! Those are the oreo minis to make Mickey ears and I found the red and white polka dot cupcake paper at Michaels. The chocolate ones I used a fancy tip to make the icing look fancy :)

Here is Landon's very own, special, one year old cupcake that he got to destory!
Here are the cake pops I was telling you about! Sooo cute!!

This is how I displayed the cake pops! I made it out of two styrofoam circles with paint and ribbon. Then I stuck the rods down it them with the letters of his name and put in the cake pops!

Here is the gift table! Complete with two 8x10 frames of pictures from the hospital when he was born and recent pictures as Mickey Mouse!

That's one happy baby!

This is an activity I had my guests do where they filled out their wishes for Landon. I found this fabulous idea on Pintrest.

Reading cards and opening presents

One year old!!!

These were the adorable bags I made for each guest! Mickey and Minnie themed of course! I found the black bags at Michaels and then decorated them with scrapbook paper.

Made from styrofoam balls, paint, tooth picks and rods! Then I stuck them in a vase layered with jelly beans :)

Because the two fabulous women that started the company, Britney Vickery and Ivy Hall, are sooooo fabulous that they are offering a special for 24 hours only!! It's a 3 piece luggage set that is orginally for 89.00 dollars and until tomorrow at noon it's for 45.00!!! Incredible deal! I bought myself the gray one and I bought my mom the black one :) Which one is your favorite?!

Resolutions, babies, houses

One of my New Years Resolutions is to blog more! Seeing as how my last post was last January.... Christmas is over and we had a blast with my now one year old! Kids make Christmas come alive again. But now it's back to work!
On Friday we go back to UVA to see Dr. Williams, we like to call him Dr. Ken because he looks like a Ken doll hehe We tried to get pregnant for over a year after I was diagnosed with PCOS- we went through 2 fertility doctors before we found Dr. Williams- our third and final doctor. He was amazing! Our second doctor didn't have good bedside manor and was content being very slow in our process. We were ready to get pregnant then! We had been trying before I was diagnosed with PCOS. Dr. Ken listened to us and said, "You have been on this mediciation long enough, it's not working. Let's try something else." It was like angels were singing! Our very first month on the new medication and we were pregnant with Landon! So here we are almost 2 years later going back to see Dr. Ken, hoping for the same amazing results!!!
On top of holidays, baby making, keeping up with a one year- we are trying to sell our house and buy a new one! We had been looking at the larger city close to us, mainly because our friends are there and I needed to be closer to shopping. We live in an extremely rural area. My husband is a teacher/coach at the local high school and I am a counselor in the next rural area one town over. We have now started considering moving into the town that I work in. It's also rural but in a larger area. We would be about the same distance away from the larger city as we are now. But I would be closer to work- I am currently driving an hour to and then an hour home each day. So if anyone needs a house, check out ours! It comes with land too!

Landon

Today Landon is two months old! He's 8 weeks and I can't believe how much has happened, so fast. The first 3 weeks seemed so long and the last 5 weeks have flown by. He's rolling from his belly to his back, sleeping 11 hours at night (not always... and always on my stomach lol), smiling and cooing, putting weight on his legs, amazes me.
