Getting Old

Man I'm getting old! I realize all the time that I'm not as young as I think I am in my head.... haha I guess we all go through this. So I've decided to make a running list of how I know I'm getting old.
1. I actually said the words, "Couches are made for sitting"
2. At my school's talent show I said to my friend, "These kids and their music these days...... If they don't turn it down they are going to bust an ear drum..... I don't even understand the lyrics to what they are singing."
3. I was talking to a student in my office and I said, "You know an old cell phone and a 'Zack Morris' cell phone?" Student said, "Who is Zack Morris?"  In which the only appropriate response was, "The most amazing guy everrrr!!!"

House Warming Gift Idea

One of my best friends, since preschool might I add, just moved into her first house with her husband! This was the house warming gift that I mailed out to them :) Their last name on a magnetic pocket for their refridgerator- we have one and love it! I keep our coupons, mail, wedding invites, etc in ours. and a travel caddy with an S. This is perfect for mulitple uses- under the sink, to hold magazines, in the car, etc. So I didn't want to specify their usage with anything other than their monogram so they can use it anywhere they want! I hope they love it!

Easter Eggs!

My mom, Landon's Nana, came to visit and to color Easter Eggs this weekend! We had talked about coloring Easter Eggs the weekend before with my sister (in-law) and nephew but I was afraid Landon would drink the dye or something kooky like that. However, my smart brother pointed out that it is probably non-toxic..... wish I had thought of that last weekend. None the less we still had a great time with Nana coloring eggs.... oh and Landon did in fact try to drink the dye and lick the spoons!
This was our first year coloring eggs since I was a kid..eerrrr.... highschool kid... lol we colored eggs at my house well into highschool. But I found some really cool tricks on Pinterest for some little ideas on coloring Easter eggs! We used Muffin Tins for some of our coloring dye and the empty slots we used them to dry the eggs. We also used only vinegar in half of the colors and just a little bit of water in the others. The ones with only vinegar were BOLD!! the ones with just a little bit of water were a little bit lighter. I mostly loved the bold colors- but the light green was almost a lime green and it was beautiful!!! Here are some of our pictures coloring eggs at the picnic table having tons of fun!
